during an onboard event.
Along with the scenery outside the windows,
we shared stories from Omachi
and the Azumino region with passengers.

The day

Handing local stories along the journey

On June 27, 2026, Monpe no Kai told folk tales during an onboard event on JR Resort View Furusato.

As the scenery moved past the windows, we shared folk tales from Omachi and Azumino with passengers. The mountains, water, and place names seen along the way were layered with stories that have been told for generations.

At the station, we also took commemorative photos with the train. Beyond libraries, schools, and community events, this was a day when Monpe no Kai brought folk tales into a journey by rail.
