We told “Izumi Kotaro” on a Nanbu Elementary School field trip
Sugasawa-sensei told the folk tale “Izumi Kotaro” to children visiting Butsuzaki Kannonji Temple.

Exhibit repair
We repaired the Izumi Kotaro clay doll at Shinano-Omachi Station
After an earthquake caused Kotaro to fall from Sairyu in the display, we checked the condition and returned the figure to its original position.

Storytelling
We held a storytelling session at Omachi City Library
Kamishibai, a folk tale from Mount Nunobiki, and riddles created a warm time for children and adults.

25th Northern Alps Snow Shape Festival
Monpe no Kai will help with the awards ceremony at Sun Alps Omachi, creating a chance to encounter Omachi’s spring scenery and local storytelling.
Yasaka Kominkan “Takasago University” lecture
A program on passing down local folk tales, including storytelling from Omachi, at a community learning place.
Omachi City Library storytelling session
Plans include the tale “Yagorosegi Monogatari” and the kamishibai “Ask the Eel,” in a regular session families can join.
JR Resort View Furusato onboard event
Monpe no Kai also joins onboard events on JR East’s sightseeing train and shares folk tales from Omachi and Azumino.
