We held a storytelling sessionat Omachi City Library

A lively kamishibai exchange,
a folk tale from Mount Nunobiki,
and riddles at the end.
Children and adults listened together in a corner of the library.

The day

A storytelling session filled with warm laughter

Monpe no Kai held a storytelling session at Omachi City Library. Seven members and five families joined, including twins, creating a relaxed time for children and adults together.

The kamishibai was performed by the Aizawa couple. Their exchange pulled the room in and filled it with gentle laughter.

The storytelling was the Mount Nunobiki tale “Led by an Ox to Zenkoji,” told by Nobuko Hirabayashi, a long-time supporter of Monpe no Kai.

Riddles

The session ended with the “Mountain Pass Teahouse” riddle.
